Meter-Bus (M-BUS) is the main bus used for energy metering and intelligent meter management, i.e. separate recording of heat, water, electricity and gas consumption. The Z-MBUS adapter allows to interface M-BUS networks via RS232 serial port directly to SENECA controllers such as Z-TWS4, Z-PASS2-S, S6001-RTU and CPUs of other manufacturers that implement the protocol and have an RS232 port. Alternatively, with the micro USB port on board, you can access the M-BUS network from your workstation PC.The module can power up to 25 M-BUS devices.From the web server interface integrated into the SENECA controller, you can scan/configure/ diagnose Z-MBUS slave devices.Straton SENECA controllers also provide an optional library of IEC 61131 function blocks for customizing data readings from M-BUS slaves.
